So I have three additional Macs in the household, my 2018 MacBook Pro, the wires 2016 MacBook and Childs 2015 MacBook Air that the Mini is due to replace. Always patched and up to date, but of late I'd been having trouble with the installation of CrowdStrike Falcon and with broke kernel extensions because of that, thought for once I would do a fresh clean install from USB and wipe the drive, in preparation for trading in. Going through a bit of a Tech refresh at home and I've a 2015 Retina iMac that I'm trading into Apple for a Mac mini for my youngest to use for school work etc.The iMac itself has been in constant use for over 5 years and had started to be unstable. Every time I'm bombing out with errors - all I want to do is have a fresh machine so I can trade the damn thing in. Been trying for days to reinstall a iMac using a bootable USB drive and I'm at my Wits' end as it's just not having it.
